Damian is also certified as an IT Service Strategist – ITIL Service Manager ISEB #4898 with distinction. This dual certification means that he is certified by global peers as a certified practicing IT expert from the very start of the IT value life-cycle until its very end. Damian has Data Vault Certification (#958 *Mastery) from the Genesee Academy. Damian started in the Information Technology industry as an analyst/programmer.
Damian’s deep industry experience includes healthcare, higher education, the resource sector, telecommunications, banking, transport and utilities As a Business Analyst, Damian specializes in modelling business processes using BPMN and UML Use Case identification. He is a keen advocate of the APQC (American Productivity Quality Council) model for business process distillation and has created extensions for Higher Education and Airports.
Within IT Service Management (ITSM), Damian specializes in Business Strategy Demand Management, IT Application and Technology Road-maps, Performance Engineering, IT Infrastructure Capacity, Availability Management and Cloud computing (Business Process, Software, Platform, Infrastructure – BPaaS, SaaS, Paas, IaaS). He is an expert on Incident, Problem, Change, Release and IT Finance Management (billing & charge-back).
Damian created ‘IT Service Engineering (ITSE)’ to bridge the worlds of IT Architecture and IT Operations leveraging standards ISO/IEC 42010 (IT Architecture), ISO/IEC38500 (COBIT), ISO20000 (ITIL) and IEEE1490 (Project Management). ITSE has an anti-pattern risk assessment with root cause analyses from failed IT projects to rate risk probability and impact.
